WHAT ARE IMMERSION SUITS?

Immersion suits are survival equipment designed to protect people who work near water by providing thermal insulation, flotation, and visibility.

Currently, the US Coast Guard madates that every person on board a commercial fishing vessel in Alaskan waters must have an immersion suit. They must also be made of 5mm neoprene and be made in colors ‘International Red or Orange”
